The end of the school year is upon us and I for one could not be happier. In between all of the end of the year festivities, class parties, and volunteer commitments, it’s also time to think about what to get your kid’s teacher as a token of appreciation. Whenever I don’t know what to get someone, I always ask myself what I would want if I was that person? A little birdie told me that while teachers love and appreciate the handmade gifts and trinkets that they (me) would rather get something that would not collect dust on a shelf and that could be enjoyed just as much. I know a trip to Hawaii would be appreciated as well but let’s get back to budget realness.

We have a cute card at Kodak Gallery that is easy to build a theme around with flowers and cupcakes. You can’t go wrong with flowers and cupcakes. They are cute and pretty and don’t overstay their welcome. I found some cute floral arrangements and some silk scented flowers that can do double duty if they are invited to stay for a while. Cupcakes are practically a staple in the lives of anyone around elementary school kids. Find some cute cupcake liners like these and the teacher is sure to love them. If your teacher for any reason is not into cupcakes (what?) you can get these cute cupcake bath bombs that look like the real thing. They are a DIY so you can make some extra for yourself. 🙂
