With so many fun and educational products available, not to mention the amazing array of designer kid stuff, who doesn't want to relive their youth? Luckily those of us who have kids, grandkids or nephews and nieces can enjoy the trends.

Birthday parties should be memorable and fun. Why not make them a feast for the senses, too? Think outside of the typical cartoon character theme and don't forget about games, kids love them and it keeps them busy so they don't have to run wildly through your house. Pick a fun color scheme and have the food and drinks match the decorations.

A kid's bedroom is her very own special place and can be a designer dream even if you are not an interior decorator. Start with a color scheme or a theme. If your daughter loves pink and orange and wants to be a pop star when she grows up, paint two walls orange, find pink bedding and hang some retro recordson the wall. It's just that simple.
