Each year the folks at Pantone pick a new color that they predict will be the hot color of the year. This year they chose Radian Orchid. Here is Pantone’s description of Radiant Orchid, “Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple—one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health.” They definitely have a way with words – doesn’t that color sound awesome! Truth be told, I’m not a huge fan of purple. I see things in purple either in fashion, home decor or stationery and think it looks pretty but not for me. I guess it’s too flashy for me!
