So I’m looking around my house today and (after I let out a litany of cusswords because my f’in kids don’t clean up their f’in messes) I noticed that I have collected a lot of letters. Not letters from old boyfriends or my high school bff, letters from the alphabet. I have collected them since I fell in love with type while studying design in college and right now all of my favorite shopping haunts have an abundance of beautiful letters. They are a great way to decorate your home or office and an excellent way to express yourself. I have a handpainted sign in my kitchen that says “Welcome, No Whining.” See how well that expresses myself? Here are some of my more recently acquired finds…

There are a lot of beautiful stencils you can use if you are on a tight budget or want a quick and easy home improvement project. Pick a name, a big idea or a favorite number and make it a unique addition to your living space. Just in case you can’t come up with one of your own, you can borrow this one – “Be nice or leave.”
