Our new collection, Multi-Modern Monograms is now available on Frecklebox.com. We got a lot of requests for a design that could be used with monograms and that could also be for both kids and adults. We thought this was a great collection for tweens and it also makes the perfect gift for your child’s teacher. We are currently working on a new collection for Frecklebox.com. We are aiming at the tween and teen market with this one. It includes fun flowers, polka dots and chevrons in a mix of popular colors. It should be up on Frecklebox shortly and we’ve also submitted it as a possible fabric collection. I love the summery colors mixed with gray. We’ve added a monogram for personalization on items like journals, lunch boxes, folders, etc. It’s a lot simpler than most of our design collections but I can totally see this mix on bedding and room decor. We’ve recently finished designing a bunch of fun new journal books for Frecklebox.com. They should go live in the next week or so. One thing we love around here is any type of notebook or journal. We are the queens of list making. I think we may have passed on this wonderful trait/disease to our kids. My daughters don’t necessarily use them for “what to do” lists, but they do write stories, songs and draw pictures in the journals and notebooks that are scattered around our house and their rooms. My niece uses hers with a couple of friends, they take turns writing stories and drawing pictures than pass it on to the next friend for her turn. I thought this was a great idea and would be so fun to do, especially with grandparents or other relatives that don’t live nearby. I’ll post the link to the new journals as soon as they are live. This summer I got most of my kids back to school supplies early. Lots of glues sticks, colored pencils, folders, binders and paper. I usually take them with me so they can pick some fun stuff out or we go online and order some personalized items. We just couldn’t help ourselves. We had to do a collection with puppies and kittens and we threw some birds in there as well. We had our daughter’s and all of their stuffed animals in mind when designing this happy collection. Simon+Kabuki has some exciting new products that have hit the shelves and the cyberworld. One product that I just love is our new Cuddlebumps coloring book (full disclosure, I did not work on the design!). I used to love to color as a kid and my two girls still enjoy coloring although now it is usually just their menus at restaurants. Maybe I will have a coloring contest this weekend. After they are done with all of their mountains of homework, don’t get me started! We also have some back to school items that are being sold at Meijer. We do not have that store here in California but it sounds a lot like one of my favorite stores, Target. Hopefully we get some samples because I love notebooks and can never have enough lists of things to do going at one time. It feels great at the end of the day to have crossed off everything on my list, and if I didn’t get to it that day, I just turn the page and start with a new list. Makes me feel good tricking myself like that! At some point I may need to check out my “list” neurosis but for now it is just one of my cute tics and I get a shitload of stuff done that way.
