We have some new notepads on Finestationery.com that we are excited to show you. Did you get a chance to go to Surtex in New York? Our agent Jewel Branding, was there representing us and said it was a great show with lots of meetings set up. She is also going to the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas in two weeks. If you plan on being there stop by Booth #A50 and say hi! The Licensing Expo in Las Vegas started yesterday. Erin and I are not attending this year but our agent is there, Jewel Branding, Booth 7716. Over the last couple of months we’ve been pulling double duty here at Simon+Kabuki. On the one hand we’ve been designing and finalizing new collections to showcase at SURTEX. This year S+K does not have a booth but our agent will be there with a large booth and lots of meetings set up for us. And on the other hand we have been designing a booth and all marketing materials for StationeryHQ, a printer, that will be at the National Stationery Show next door. We love designing stationery and have been at it for quite some time, we were one of the original designers on TinyPrints. So it was fun to design notecards, notebooks, and other goodies for StationeryHQ. They are introducing several new processes to designers like Letterpress Lite and fun new die cuts. When my son was designing a Valentine’s card for his girlfriend, he used puppy and kitten pictures because as he said “Everyone loves puppies and kittens.” So true. Put a picture of a sad faced puppy on something and it will sell like hot cakes, the same goes for a sweet fuzzy kitten. My kids love looking up YouTube videos of cute or funny animals. So it was a no brainer for Simon+Kabuki to do a Puppies and Kittens collection. And since birds are still hot we threw a tree full of birds into the mix. Our agent, Jewel Branding, is going to the Atlanta Gift Show this week. She has lots of exciting new design collections from us to show off. We hope you can stop by her booth if you are visiting the show. We are excited to also be showcasing our new fabric line, Nesting from Quilting Treasures. We had our in-house sewing guru (Frances Gunther) whip up a couple of bags for us and they turned out fabulous. Unfortunately we are sending them to Atlanta for the show otherwise I would be using them right now! Frances also used our Juicy Blossoms fabric to make one of the bags and I love how it turned out. The Atlanta Gift Show is coming up in January. Our agent, Jewel Branding, will be there with several new collections that we’ve been working hard on.
