Graduation season is almost here. This year my daughter is graduating and we are waiting on hearing back from a couple of colleges. So many schools in California are impacted and getting record numbers of applications it makes it really difficult to get in. Cal State Long Beach had over 90,000 applications! We are waiting to hear from Long Beach and one other school before doing final tours and final decisions. Fingers crossed. Whichever school you get into, make the most of your time and do your best and you’ll be fine. It’s time to start thinking about holiday cards. I know we haven’t even hit Halloween yet, but maybe start thinking about family pictures. Did you take some great photos this summer that would be perfect for holiday cards? If not you still have time to capture those smiles! Here are some tips for taking the perfect picture. I usually take mine at Thanksgiving, which is a little late but with one son in college it’s when we are all together. I just make sure to have my card picked out and ready to go. It’s that time of the year again! Time to wrangle your kids into half-way decent outfits so you can drag them to the park and take your holiday pictures for Christmas cards. My kids hate this day and grumble the whole time. Last year I let them wear mustaches in one picture to appease them and they were quite happy when I actually used it on the back of our cards.
