We have some fun playful collections coming to a fabric store in the next month or so. Our Bee Nice and Garden Party collections were both picked up by Quilting Treasures. They each come with at least 13 different patterns but here’s a sneak peek....

Let it Rain Fabric

Our newest fabric, Let it Rain, is now available. For this collection we combined rain boots and umbrellas in bright and sassy colors. Here is a link to the quilt pattern seen above. I’ve always loved patterned rain boots, unfortunately I’ve never needed a pair living in California. But they are so cute! You could say this is the perfect rainy day project to do. Have a fire going and a cup of hot chocolate and you’re set. Have a great...

What’s new Wednesday

We have several new fabric lines coming out this month. We are expecting a big box of fabric today. It may include our Owl Friends fabric. We knew that the bird trend was not going away. Owls are super hot and have been for the last couple of years. My daughter has a vinyl owl applique on her bedroom wall that we got several years ago. We also have some designs that involve peacocks, quails and bluebirds because we know those are everywhere, especially in home decor. I bet almost half the people in the US have a bird pillow in their house, I know I do!! If you haven’t seen the Portlandia video “Put a Bird on It” do it now, so funny! Below is the original design collection and above you can see how it was used for fabric. We’ve also used it on greeting cards, canvas wall art, wall murals and...

Mediterranean Dream Fabric now in Stores

We got to the office today and there was a huge box at our doorstep. Our Mediterranean Dream fabric through Quilting Treasures is now on sale in stores and online and we just got all of our sample fabrics. It’s like Christmas all over again! If you’d like to make the quilt shown above click here for the pattern from Quilting Treasures. Here’s another great take on a quilt using the fabric by FatQuarterShop. Here is a link to the Dream On Quilt Kit designed by Jocelyn Ueng. The quilt is also featured in the March/April issue of QuiltMaker magazine. I think both quilts are beautiful, I love the addition of lots of white in Jocelyn’s quilt and think it would look great in this room that was just featured on Houzz.com. We’d love to see how you use our Mediterranean Dream fabric, send us a picture of your finished...

Let it Rain

I know that winter and cooler weather will soon be upon us – but right now we are having an Indian summer. It usually starts really cooling off at the end of October, yesterday it was 100 degrees in San Jose and since my kids have the week off we hit the pool. I do love the thought of rain and umbrellas and boots. And we had that in mind when we designed our latest collection, Let it Rain. It will soon be at fabric stores nationwide through Quilting Treasures. I can totally see some really cute pillows and quilts made out of this collection! We hope you like...

Fun with Fabric

It’s always fun when we get fabric samples at the office but it is even more fun when some of our crafty friends make things with our fabric. I think we’ve mentioned before that we are staple gun and iron-on sewing experts but we’ve never mastered the needle and thread! Even though it kills my mom, who sewed tons of our clothes when we were little, I can barely handle a missing button. She did give me sewing lessons once but I broke the machine so instead she gave my kids lessons and bought a sewing machine for them to share. Unfortunately after the first month of excitement it started gathering dust and was moved to the garage. Maybe once my kids are out of the house I will have time to become the leisurely sewer of my dreams. Until then, we must rely on friends and family to sew us fabulous projects with our new fabrics. And lucky for us they do not disappoint! Our fabric, In the Meadow, by Quilting Treasures was used for the bags above. You can also download a great quilt design here. We have new fabric coming out soon featuring shoes, can’t wait to see what our pals come up with...

in the meadow

Even though we are having off and on rain the sun does come out every once in a while to prove that it is Spring around here. I think we were spoiled by having such a mild and warm winter that even the smallest bit of rain makes us cranky! All of my flowers in the backyard are blooming and beautiful and they probably really needed the rain. Our new fabric In the Meadow, reminds me of a bright sunny day. Below are some close ups of the quilt detail. You can get the quilt pattern from Quilting Treasures. We also have a line of checks, through Checks in the Mail, using In the Meadow, super cute. Don’t forget to send us any of your favorite projects using our fabric, we’d love to see...

cuddlebumps fabric

We just got samples of our new CuddleBumps fabric line from Quilting Treasures. The colors are fun and bright and would look great as a quilt for any child’s room. We always loved stuffed animals as kids and even now it is hard to see my daughters’ beds sometimes with all of the stuffed animals on there. Growing up I loved my Raggedy Ann and Andy stuffed animals and was completely devastated when they were lost in a move. CuddleBumps, a line of charming critters, was inspired by the our love for animals and the knowledge that little ones can never have too many stuffed animals. We’ve created Cuddlebumps, NerdieBumps and MeenieBumps and each has an adorable name to match his or her adorable personality. I think the MeenieBumps are my favorite, but mostly because I am partial to black. You can also see our Cuddlebumps on a variety of products at Frecklebox.com. There you can find lunch boxes, folders notebooks,...

new quilt patterns

We have several fabrics (In the Meadow, Nesting and Juicy Blossoms) out right now through Quilting Treasures. It is always exciting to see what beautiful projects people make with our fabric. For each line we design, we also design a quilt pattern. Quilting Treasures takes our pattern and makes a quilt for display at the shows they attend. The quilts in person are amazing such great craftsmanship. They usually send the quilt to us so that we can take pictures and admire our pattern work. But alas we must send them back. I really wanted to keep the In the Meadow quilt for my daughter’s room. Would have gone perfect! Next up from Quilting Treasures is our Cuddlebumps line. Cute and colorful creatures perfect for any child’s room. Here are links to our current fabric patterns, you can download them for free. Happy quilting. Juicy Blossoms Nesting In the...

it's in the bag

Our agent, Jewel Branding, is going to the Atlanta Gift Show this week. She has lots of exciting new design collections from us to show off. We hope you can stop by her booth if you are visiting the show. We are excited to also be showcasing our new fabric line, Nesting from Quilting Treasures. We had our in-house sewing guru (Frances Gunther) whip up a couple of bags for us and they turned out fabulous. Unfortunately we are sending them to Atlanta for the show otherwise I would be using them right now! Frances also used our Juicy Blossoms fabric to make one of the bags and I love how it turned out. If you don’t have any embellishments on the bags they can be turned inside out and used either...
